It's Almost Here!!!

I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!  It has taken me so long to pick out costumes this year.  I usually already have them done by now!  The holdup was really Jake... you can only wear cute infant costumes once, and I wanted to take advantage of it!

Mark originally wanted Jake to be a hotdog.  Well, it took me awhile to find one that didn't look creepy, and then I couldn't think of cute/good looking costumes for the rest of the family.  Then, I thought of Jake dressing as a banana, Sarah as a monkey, and Mark and I as zookeepers.  The banana costumes I found didn't look that cute either, and Jake will be just a bit too old for a full bunting costume.  Plus, my niece, Anna, was a really cute banana last year and I didn't want to steal the idea.

So then I came upon this flying monkey costume for Jake when I was researching monkey costumes for Sarah:

Super cute, right?!?  I remembered my sister, Katrina, has a Dorthy costume from a few years ago and once I confirmed she still had it for me to borrow, the Wizard of Oz theme was a go!!!  So now for a cute costume for Sarah.  There are all kinds of cute lion costumes, but I wanted something that didn't look too boyish, wasn't too hot, and would be easy for her to walk around in.

So my sweet little lion will be wearing this:

All I need to add is a "courage" medal, and we will be all set!

So what is Mark going to be this year?  He said he is going to be a "fuddy duddy" HA!  Mark HATES dressing up, but has been a really good sport and wore a costume every Halloween we have been together.  So I am not going to push it and will let him have a non-costume pass THIS year.
