The Boogie Man Lives With Us

Did you know the average child gets something like 8-10 colds in the first 2 years of their life? I think Sarah is right on track with something like 4. Fortunately, only one has been bad - the others are mostly just runny nose and snot. She is in daycare - what can you do? I'm thinking the 6 months of exclusive breastfeeding has been keeping the major sickness at bay.

Sarah seems to think snot is the most delicious snack. She rubs her nose with her fist and proceeds to lick it. Or, if her nose is dripping, she will start licking her upper lip if I am not quick enough with a damp cloth.

Sigh... the worst is the surprise snot. The kind where mommy unwittingly gets a taste after giving her little sweetie a big kiss. without checking Sarah's nose first.

Yuck.
