It is hard to believe that Sarah's first birthday is coming up in just over 3 months! Mark thinks I am starting this way too early, but I tend to order a lot of things online, so I need to allow for shipping. =)
I am thinking of a loose "Candyland" theme for the party. Not huge... mainly family and a few friends at the house.
I love Etsy!!! The site is great - crafters come to this web site to set up cyber-shop and will make you just about anything. I knew I wanted to have another tutu made for Sarah's first birthday and found to Etsy sellers that collaborate to make the cutest outfits. I had the tutu made by mom2twogals in her beautiful "paint me a rainbow" color scheme. I them had a birthday onesie made by isabellaboo. I received them last week and I can't wait to have pictures done with Sarah on her birthday.
For Sarah's smash cake, I am thinking of making a giant cupcake using a pan from Williams-Sonoma found here. Wilton makes a big cupcake pan as well, but I like this one a bit more.
I think I will do regular cupcakes on a nice cupcake stand for the guests. I am also picturing lots of colorful balloons, big swirled lollipops, and a few candy pillows.
I can't wait! Now I just need to think of a present...
