On a Roll!

Sarah was sent home from daycare yesterday with pinkeye. =(  She had two cases in her class last week, and we have ALWAYS had a problem keeping Sarah's hands out of her face!

So she is home with mama today and we went to visit Dr. Beck bright and early this morning.  I really have no idea how she manages it, but so far we have had to visit Dr. Beck midway between EVERY well-baby checkup.  We have had unscheduled visits at 1 month, 3 months and now 5 months!  At least we get to see what her current height/weight measurements are. =)  

It looks like that 4 month wakeful/growth spurt thing paid off - she gained almost two whole pounds this last month and added an inch and a quarter in length.  I say ALMOST two pounds because we weighed her with her diaper and clothes on.  It came out to exactly 2 extra pounds, but I rounded it down to about 18.5 lbs.

After we got home, I put Sarah down on the floor to play and SHE ROLLED!!!  I was starting to think this kid was going to bypass it all together.  She rolled from back to front, then started scooting her body around so she was 90 degrees from her starting position.  It was like she had this huge A-HA moment where she discovered locomotion.  And I was able to witness it because she is home with pinkeye... weird.
