Thank goodness we have so many brave men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line so that we may have the freedom we so very much enjoy and God bless those who lost their lives in the process.
As we remember those who gave all, many of us gather our family close and celebrate that freedom given us - with barbeque. Nothing says summer like barbeque... and watermelon! Mark and I are laying low this Memorial Day and just grilling up a few hamburgers, but I have a HUGE watermelon that has been waiting, and waiting, and waiting.
Waiting to be cut open? Well, hopefully the kiddos in the cul-de-sac will be out this afternoon to partake, but the watermelon was purchased with one thing in mind - a photo of Sarah to match one I have of Mark as a baby.
One of these babies is my sweet little Sarah, and the other is my sweet husband, Mark... do you think there is a resemblance?!? =D

totally a resemblance! so cute!
ReplyDeleteI thought the watermelon I bought was pretty big, but look at the size of the one with Mark! It is HUGE!
ReplyDeleteOmg, that's GREAT!!!! My mom has been dying for a watermelon pic w/ E!
