| Bottles washed, labeled and ready to go! |
Jake is attending daycare where Sarah is and is even in Sarah's old infant room! Love, love, LOVE Ms. Joanne and Ms. Theresa! We had a smooth but slow start this morning as I ran around making Jake's bottles and putting everything into bags and getting it to the car. So we were about 20 minutes behind getting to the daycare. Things should go much faster tomorrow since I already have Jake's supplies there.
Sarah did so well this morning! I unloaded Jake first and put him and all the stuff in the stroller and Sarah "helped" me push the stroller to her class. I signed her in and we went to the group area and got her set up with breakfast. Said goodbye and took Jake to the infant room. I was worried about Sarah since Mark has been taking her to daycare the past 2 months. It is hard to tell how a toddler will react to a change in routine!
Went to Ms. Joanne's class and signed Jake in, unloaded all his supplies and went over feeding, etc. with Ms. Joanne. This entire time Jake sat happily in his carseat until I took him out and handed him over.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Sigh.
Jake was not happy to go to daycare. Because we had a late start there were already two other children in the class and an older one was already crying when Ms. Joanne left her in the play area to get Jake. The noise plus going to a new person in a new place set him off (he was also tired already). =( I felt so bad, but I told Ms. Joanne that I am still home this week if they need to call about anything. She was putting him in the swing (which he LOVES) to see if it would calm him down and get him to sleep when I left. I could hear the poor boy crying as I left the building.
No phone call yet, so I am sure he is napping peacefully in the swing by now. Now to start on my list of things to do this week before I go back to work... and there is a LOT.

I am glad he ended up having a good 1st day! Where did you get those bottle labels?!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tonya! The labels are actually not unique since I have seen the exact same ones on several sites, but I ordered them from Fun & Sassy Designs: http://www.funandsassydesigns.com/Waterproof-Baby-Labels_c_43.html
ReplyDeleteThey are waterproof vinyl - they are supposed be able to go through the dishwasher, but I haven't tried it out yet (I put them on after the bottles were washed)!
