My mother-in-law's birthday was yesterday! For those that don’t know, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s shortly before my wedding with Mark. Our family decided that year (2007) to walk annually in her honor so that other families wouldn’t have to experience what is known as “the long goodbye”.
On October 2nd my family and I will be taking steps to end Alzheimer's for the 4th straight year at the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk. My personal fundraising goal is $500!
I am a team captain for another year as the friends and family that make up our our team, "Mama's Boys", walk together to raise money and awareness for this debilitating and fatal disease.

| Me and Bobbye before my wedding |
Bobbye is an incredibly strong woman, raising four boys and turning them into magnificent men, husbands and fathers. She is a fighter and a breast cancer survivor - but right now, there are no survivors of Alzheimer's. I am heavy-hearted that I never knew the woman who brought the man I love into this world. Neither will my children. So I started this team to bring hope - and a sense of purpose - to the family I am now a part of.
Help me create survivors and end Alzheimer's! Please help join the fight against Alzheimer's disease by sponsoring my participation in Memory Walk - any amount is welcome. I have been so blessed to have great friends and family that contribute every year to this wonderful cause. Thank you!!!
Let me know if there is anyone out there who would like to join our team!
