I LoVermont

In early October we went to Vermont for my 10 year college reunion at Norwich University! This was Sarah's very first plane trip!!! =) I cringe when I think about all the stuff we had to lug on this trip. Pack-n-Play, carseat, diapers, bottles, formula, baby food...

Thankfully we don't need to bring a stroller. I found a nifty contraption that attaches to the carseat to turn it into a stroller! It worked rather well with the only negative being that we had to remove it to get on the plane since the carseat itself is too wide to go down the aisle of the aircraft.

Thankfully on the way there our flight wasn't full and we got to put Sarah in her own seat. She did wonderfully and snoozed peacefully for most of the flight. I did forget to pack a snack though, but had some puffs stashed in her diaper bag. During our layover we had to buy an emergency bowl of Cheerios for her to snack on in the plane. She didn't sleep as much on the second leg, but as long as we kept up a steady supply of Cheerios, she was content. Being the little social butterfly that she is, she also charmed anyone who looked her way by smiling, cooing and waving. She would even peek between the seats to flash a smile to people.

Sarah was a cute little Vermont baby with cute little corduroy dresses and sweater tights. So cute!!! Doesn't she blend right in with the antique furniture?

I had a great time catching up with my college buddies and enjoyed showing Mark and Sarah around campus. With so much going on, Sarah refused to take an afternoon nap.... until she found a nice comfy spot on daddy's head while touring the campus museum!

After Homecoming, we stayed a few extra days to just enjoy Vermont. What better whay to do that then to tour the factory that makes some of the best ice cream on earth? Below is me and my best friend Jenn posing as Ben & Jerry.

What a wonderful place for Sarah to have her very first taste of ice cream!!!! She thought the stuff was fantastic... she was exceptionally giddy for at least an hour afterward!

We also went to tour the factory for Cabot Cheese - famous for their Vermont cheddar. We bought two HUGE blocks of "Old School" EXCEPTIONALLY sharp cheddar for Mark at about $20 per 5 pound block. They had samples of everything except that one, and Sarah enjoyed her first taste of cheese - a mild cheddar. We didn't get any pictures of Sarah and cheese, but there was a very cute cut-out of a cow in front of the building with a little face cut-out for children. I swear we took a picture of Sarah in that, but can't seem to find it in any of the pictures we downloaded. =( Overall, it was a good trip and not bad with Sarah in tow. It was rather tiring though, so I was glad Sarah and I already had it planned to stay home the day after we got back to San Antonio!
