Mark watched Sarah this morning while I took a nice, long, hot shower and got dressed in preparation for Mother's Day lunch. We then met my mom, sister and niece at our favorite cajun/southern cooking restaurant, Acadiana Cafe, for our long standing Mother's Day tradition.

I had a huge glass of sweet tea, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and chicken and dumplings - YUM YUM! Mark was super sweet and held Sarah so all us moms could eat first. =)
I saved all my presents to open at lunch. Sarah made me a sweet framed poem with her handprint at daycare, Mark wrote a very sweet card, and they got me a pair of silver earrings from James Avery ("Mother's Love"). You will have to take my word for it - Mark was so excited to see me open my gift, we forgot to get pictures!!! =)
Here is a picture of the earrings from the James Avery website though:

Tonight Mark made me some chocolate chip cookies after I put Sarah down for the night. Yes, a very good day! I hope all the other moms out there enjoyed your day as well!
Sounds like a wonderful day! Happy Mother's Day!
