What a Week!

My best friend Jenn flew down from DC last week to meet her new goddaughter (and avoid the inauguration chaos).  We had a very full week with trips to the newly renovated and reopened Japanese Tea Gardens, New Braunfels, and a Rampage hockey game.  We also went to Acadiana Cafe for lunch with Aunt Katie and Grandma.  I think the time in the sun at the Tea Garden finally cleared up the last of the jaundice!

Well, the hockey game was without Sarah.  Mark was nice enough to watch her so out can have my first night out of the house (all of 4 1/2 hours).  

I bought Sarah a new Baby Bjorn carrier and she LOVES it!  She is starting to really look around at things, so she likes the view she can get in it. 

Sarah also had her first good laugh this week - with daddy!  Mark smiled, which made Sarah smile, which made Mark laugh, which made Sarah laugh, which made Mark laugh harder, which made Sarah laugh some more!

Jenn left to go back to DC yesterday and we miss her already.  Thankfully we already have another week together planned in October - our 10 year college reunion at Norwich!  We are going to spend the week in Vermont... hopefully renting a house for the week with another friend from school.  I look forward to showing Mark around our alma mater.
